So the other day my dad found
...and iPod on an plane. For some reason, he asked a bunch of people around him if it was theirs and they all said no (surprisingly). So he comes home and told me he found an iPod and I'm like that's sick. After about two minutes I felt bad for the guy who lost it, and since I already have an iTouch I realized I had no need for it.
So here's the thing. I really want to try and get it back to the guy, but it doesn't seem like I really can. I called Apple and asked if they could get in touch with him and let him know I had his iPod (his name was in it) and they said there was nothing they could do, even if I gave a serial number. Basically, is there anything else I can do to get in touch with this guy or find a way to get this to him? |

Contact the airlines that your dad found it on and tell them you have it and give them your info, if the owner calls the airlines maybe you can hook up.
that's about it. |

Basically just call the airlines. They should have the names of everyone that has been on that plane and if it matches then they can get into contact with them.

Jack I did search on facebook, but his name is David Jacobs lol. Too common of a name to get any results from that
Stealth we were actually thinking of doing that, but after Apple gave absolutely no help we sort of figured they would do the same. Looks like contacting the airline will be the last option And creepy, that's my whole point. I'm not a scum bag and try and keep it. I'm going to try everything to get it back to the guy, because if I lost my iPod, especially on an airplane I would be devastated |

I've looked through Contacts and all other places I would think any personal info would be but I didn't see it. Any idea where it would be specifically or you were thinking of another possible way to get in touch with him?

Maybe contact one of the contacts and tell them to tell Mr. Jacobs that his iPod is missing.

I looked through his contacts and there's nothing in there. The only personal info was his name and he is somewhere on the west coast because of the time zone

Try to get in touch with one of his contacts or do what stealth said and call the airlines, assuming you still have all the flight info.
