Ok, I have seen so many different posts on a wide variety of topics here on the forums that I thought it was time to make the Guide for Forums use. Also let me just start out by saying you can always check the Forum Rules --> Forum Rules

1. First and foremost there is the Search Feature.
-->This tool is used in order to find topics that may have already been posted about. Example "Mp5 or M16?", it maybe even be current events such as a news story.

2. Posting here in the CoD 4 forums or anywhere else for that matter for GFX related issues isn't needed or wanted. Rather try to post them in the all knowing GFX Section. If your looking for a signature or logo, there is an even more specific forum for just that, for those requests go here --> GFX request and Pickup Section.

3. I have seen so many Player vs. Player threads that my eyes have started to fall out. Although this problem has recently died down I still feel the need to address it. These threads only cause flaming and are in no way constructive. So rather than creating a realm for a flame fiesta, keep your comments and ideas to yourself about this topic. Also, in all honesty, if you have to post a thread asking people who they think is better, what's the chance that everyone will know who you are talking about?

4. I also tend to see multiple threads asking to join or recruit players to a team for any of the ladders here on GB. May I dare say it, I have also seen someone recruiting for their single team? Anyways, these types of threads have their own section as well, for cases such as these please refer to the --> Recruiting Section.

5. Here on GameBattles we know that many teams enjoy running scrims, playing weird in-game games (i.e. Michael Myers) and also enjoy challenging teams individually rather than using the Match Finder. These types of threads are best suited for the Battles Section and belong no where else. Here is the link --> Battles Section.

6. GameBattles has it's issues with both the users and the website. Rather than posting about it for either complaints or asking for an admin, you can use Live Support or just submit a ticket.
--- When using Live Support make sure that all users specifiy if the match is a no show or a left mid match when you send in your request. Also, add your match id and ticket id with a short description of what occurred during the match --> Live Support. --- Submit a ticket when you have an issue with disputed scores, such as evidence against the opposing team. However, if you do not have any valid evidence, do not expect your ticket to be taken care of in your favor. If neither team has valid evidence, it will be up to one of the teams to report the correct score by either changing the scores or submitting the ticket with the withdrawl. --> Submit Ticket.

7. I know that rules and glitches are a big problem here on GB, but there is a thread that answers all of these questions. If you ever have a question about rules go to this thread --> Rules Page.

There is also a thread at the top of the forums for Updated Rules and Glitches here --> Updated Rules and Glitches.

8. I know this isn't a frequently asked question, but I thought I'd address it none the less. Here's the link to all the known smileys that can be used here on GameBattles --> Smiley Page.

9. I see a very frequent number of threads relating to "How do I Post a Youtbe Video?". Well here's the answer.
First you need to take the coding off of the end of the URL. Let's say the code was http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOWb587LW9M I would take the portion with "AOWb587LW9M" and put it inside this --> [*youtube]AOWb587LW9M[/youtube*]. However without the '*' characters at the beginning and end. If all goes according to plan, you should have something like this

---> Video I edited for a friend of mine

10. I could have addressed this issue earlier in the Search Feature part, but I felt that these circumstances needed their own portion.
--> I know many of you have troubles with Capture Cards, but keep in mind that so does almost everyone else. So when posting a question on a capture card please use the Search Feature.
--> I know it can also be challenging when selecting a gamertag, but posting another thread dedicated to this issue is very redundant. Please use the Search Feature for this as well for there are many threads that have thousands of ideas for a gamertag already.

11. Flaming people on GB is in itself a completely stupid thing to do. Are you honestly going to argue with people online that you will most likely never meet? Please keep your comments to yourself and rememeber momma always said, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."

We need to understand the fact that there are a lot of kids that are on this website and with each and every day that number grows. It is true that a lot of them just post without a regard for anyone else, but this is not true for all of them. Since we only think about the little kids that piss us off, we tend to see a lot of them in the same manner. We need to give kids on this website the benefit of the doubt until they prove us wrong. Now I know what your probably thinking, they prove this time and time again, but it's thinking like that which is the cause of all this. Whenever we see a kid make the smallest of mistakes, a lot of us tend to jump all over them. I know that there are a few of you out there that tend to help these guys out. You never bash them, or flame them for any reason. I congradulate you for doing this, because I know how hard it is to hold back sometimes. Especially when you've seen the same kind of flame, post, or thread time and time again and it just builds to the point where you just want to exlode! The hardest challenge many of us face is keeping our cool, so instead of letting blowing up in a kids face, just ignore it. Let it go and you'll feel a lot better when you don't have to worry about something ******ed you read. If anything you can just sit at your computer and laugh about it, don't post yourself laughing though I might have to infract you ;). If one of them decides to make a mistake here on the fourms, it will be up to moderators such as Chuckstarr, Sk_RiotZ, and myself (sorry I can't think of any others of the top of my head... With that said, let's give kids a break, we were all there at one point and we were all a little bit hyper and arrogant. We all thought we were the **** at one point or another. Many of us still do, but we don't need to make fun of the ones that have the same aspirations as we once did. Remember, it's up to you to change this community. No one else is going to magically appear to suddenly clean this place up by taking out all the bk's, randies, or whatever term you want to use. Let's try a movement towards respect. <3 Shawdow

12. Site Issues has become a major problem recently, we all know that GB has it's bugs, but please don't post about it on the forums. These issues are caused due to the fact that GameBattles is being run at it's capacity level. The people that run this site are currently working on this issue that that the website can take on more users at a time, but for now, please be patient. For the most part, this is a free website anyways, so why complain?

13. If you feel the need to post a thread about the way that something should be run here on GameBattles, please take note that it is very appreciated to post it over in the Site Suggestions Page. Here's the link --> Site Suggestions.

14. First off, you must acquire the IMG code to paste into your signature area. You obtain this by taking your image and uploading it so an image hosting website. One that works well is Photobucket.com Once you've uplaoded your signature you just need copy and paste the IMG code which should look something like this except without the '*' characters in it -->

15. Now to end it all, after reading all of this and you still feel that the staff that is dedicating its time just for you because they love doing what they do, please apply here --> Application.
