Cannot wait for the vita! The vita will be the release after the psp - E1000 which will call an end to the playstation portable models, so yeah, the next generation of the PSP. It will make my PSP 3000 look like dirt, I better get selling it soon!

I would say the best perks about it are.

1) It has amazing video quality. (great vivid color, great contrast.)

2. Great sound. Sounds like it has a bose system in it. Kinda has a surround sound effect.

3. Good UI and has pretty good multitasking options.

4. the touch screen on the front is great and the touch pad on the back is smooth and amazingly acurate and responsive. As are the six axis controls

5. feels well built and sturdy.

All around I love it so far.
Only issue I have is its lack of a useable flash. This makes watching youtube videos impossible.
