Target assist

What do you guys think about it? I used to always play cod with it off and be pretty beast but not I barely play videogames as much so I don't know if I'm just paranoid or what but when I turned it off I don't think I was doing as well. Does target assist help both close and long range, do pros leave it on? and why is it even in the game? I'm sure if I wasn't so tired I'd do fine but still..., target assisting, really?

How did you turn it off before? I think you're making stuff up. All console games have target assist.

Man would be nice if maybe a pro post like a hastro or ego, stainville someone intelligent holiday doc maybe..., would love to here their opinion and to know if they just leave it on or what. I'd turn it off in past cods but think there was still a little drag I noticed sometimes.

Well I watch only one or two justin.tv channels and they're gaming. I've always loved gaming and still try to play when I can, watch jtv on my iphone more than I play so what. I do what the hell I want if I want to game a little on the side so be it. I know what ur saying bout the drag but it;s a small price compared to the benefit of the target being automatically lined up better it seems...

McDaniels has a spectacular aura about
Funny how little people know about target assist....

It can be turned off in black ops and world at war. In cod 4 and mw2 it couldn't be.

It is in most games, but it can be turned off in some.

I don't know any pros who don't use it.

Aim assists is built into the game. you're unable to turn it off. the best way to test aim assists not being there is going onto a game like Halo 3 and try having a Br battle with team mate... And yes, it's pretty much impossible to hit them, you can still try this effect on call of duty but it's easier to see on halo due to more shots needed to kill..

The aim assist works on a slow decrease. the closer the player the higher effect of the assists, as a player shoots someone further away there will be less affect of it.

Sorry if this doesn't make sense at points I've had to rush this post....

Wowwwwwwwwww people are so ignorant. Apparently nobody has even tried to turn the option called target assist off and is making claims that aim assist is always on without having even looked at the options.

YOU CAN TURN AIM ASSIST OFF IN MULTIPLAYER BY TURNING THE TARGET ASSIST OPTION TO DISABLED. Anyone who tells you otherwise has no idea what they're talking about.

Why would you not have it on. Its gives and advantage to your opponent if you dont. Also I hate games that have this. It is made primarily as a tool to get bad kids to think they are good to continue to get sales. Old school games back on like ps2/xbox/N64 games didnt have aim assist. That would show true gun skill.

Whoever said that all console games have it is so wrong. There are games that dont have it. A good bit of games do have it. But that is one thing you never say when trying to state a fact is say "all" unless you have a good amount of backup to support your claim.
