I think we can all agree throwing objects at athletes is totally unacceptable and that Philly has the worst fans. There aren't many ways around it.

You're going to tell me he took a broken stick and threw it on the bench? Wrong. He took a stick and slammed it on his bench, the blade flew ONTO THE ICE. He didn't throw anything at your bench. Not once did I say Schenn's shove was not dirty, you can get over that. You keep bringing that up but decide to ignore when I ask about what Malkin does. Schenn who is a rookie and a two way forward, Simmonds who scores goals but isn't what most knowledgable hockey fans would call a star, and Danny Briere who has scored 3 goals in his last 33 games? The Flyers are forced to play guys like Matt Read who has 23 goals, Jake Voracek who is up near 50 points, and switching a kid who had the potential to be the number one overall pick last year if he didn't get sick (Couturier) and the man who won you a Stanley Cup who set a career high in goals this year (Talbot) on the fourth line this year. The Flyers are one of the deepest teams in the league and they have players who play two way hockey. It's not like were putting our best offensive guys on the ice trying to score more. Like to see your reasons behind "your idiot coach" playing Vitale and Asham for the time they got while our one true enforcer is Zac Rinaldo who played more time than those two combined. My first post said "Stay classy", to me that's different than saying "You're classless".

Choked? Laviolette has had success everywhere he has coached from the minors all the way up to the NHL and he was the head coach of the U.S. Olympic team. He took over an Islanders team who were in the middle of a playoff drought and then they made the playoffs both years he was there. Then he went to Carolina where he made them better and they won a Cup. He lost the Jack Adams by a single point that year. And then he took over a Flyers team in December that was near the bottom of the league where they went on to the playoffs where they came back from a 3-0 series deficit and a 3-0 Game 7 deficit on the road before going to the Stanley Cup. He's really a choker.

Saying stay class is an expression. I've never called Penguins fans classless before. I've called them dumb and bandwagon/fairweather fans plenty of times, but never before the other day have I mentioned class I'm pretty sure.

Laviolette never won a Stanley cup. In DBs first two years of coaching he won a Stanley cup, won a Jack Adams award for taking an NHL level team filled with farm players to the playoffs.

When it comes down to a Game 7 it doesn't really matter how they got there. Yeah he wasn't the only reason Pittsburgh got there, but without him you wouldn't have won. Talbot scored both goals for the Penguins; he won you that Cup.

Peter Laviolette was the head coach of the Carolina Hurricanes when they won the Stanley Cup in 2006.

Even if they can win, they don't deserve it IMO. They'll be swept first-round IMO, whether they somehow come back to win the SE or if they take the #8th seed. Won't matter.

However, that would be funny if Florida completely bombed at the end of the season and missed.

San Jose vs. Los Angeles tonight and on Saturday. Basically if San Jose wins both then they're in 3rd. If they lose both then they could be out of the players (if Dallas or Colorado wins both their games).
