Winter 2019 Playoff Roster Lock

Roster Lock will go into effect March 17th at 12:00 AM ET for ladders that are hosting playoffs. All rosters must be finalized by this point and no changes are permitted after this point. Making a roster change will void your playoff eligiblity.

  • Anyone new to playoffs or just need a refresher, please read the Arena Playoff FAQ.
  • Playoff Team Eligibility Requirements:
    • Team must be created before the Winter 2019 Season Roster Lock that begins on March 17th 12:00am ET.
    • Team must play at least one (1) match during the roster lock period of March 17th 12:00am ET - March 31st 8:59pm ET.
    • Teams may not override the roster lock. This includes, but is not limited to, role changes (Leader,Captain,Member), updating GamerTags, adding/removing players.
      • Gamertags must not be unlinked during roster lock.
    • Team must have the minimum required players listed on the playoff schedule. These may or may not be the same as the ladder minimum roster requirements for ladder matches.
  • Playoff Player Eligibility Requirements
    • Player's GB/MLG Username must be on the playoff roster.
    • GamerTags linked to the player's account prior to the start of Bracket play may be used.
    • Account Recovering another player's Gamertag is strictly forbidden.

MLG Rank Leaderboard

  • Who: All Major League Gaming members have an MLG Rank.

  • What: MLG Rank shows how you stack up against other players on GameBattles. It is calculated utilizing our Elo ranking system, which is designed to calculate rank in a balanced and competitive manner to help determine who the best players are in each arena. MLG Rank is determined on an arena-basis, so you will gain an MLG Rank independently on each arena that you compete on. Then, MLG Rank is compiled from all arenas to determine where you stand globally.

  • How: Your MLG Rank is gained and lost based on the skill level of the other players you are competing against in a specific arena. If you win against players who have an overall higher arena MLG Rank than you, you would gain more points than winning against players who have an equal or lower arena MLG Rank.

  • Where: MLG Rank displays in the following locations: your gamercard, GB Profile, MLG Profile, Team Roster Pages, Free Agent Pages, and the MLG Rank Leaderboards.
