GameBattles has altered its six-hour waiting period between the time you leave a team and when you become eligible to join another. GameBattles offers a variety of arenas that provide team-based competition. Leaving your team after a loss or to join a higher ranked team doesn’t fit the mold of being a true “teammate.” Therefore, we intend to discourage users from team-jumping with this six hour waiting period. However, we have made it so that six-hour join time is almost non-existent.
Here’s how it works: Users who are not on a team on a specific ladder will be eligible to join one and start playing immediately, with no waiting time what-so-ever. (Yes, that means you no longer have to sit on the roster for six hours before you’re eligible to play in a match. You will be eligible to play the moment you join the roster.) However, if you’re already on a team, or once you join another, you will be affected by this rule. The six-hour waiting period begins the moment you leave or are removed from your team’s roster. You will then not be eligible on another team account until that six-hour period has passed. If you leave a team on the Black Ops Team Ladder today, and you come back tomorrow, you will be eligible to play immediately because it is past 6 hours of the leave time from your previous team.
So, instead of leaving a team and waiting six hours once you join, you only wait from when you left your last team.
The same goes for disbanding a team. If a leader disbands a team, all members, including the leader, must wait six hours before being eligible on another team on that ladder.
These new eligibility regulations are in effect on a ladder-by-ladder basis. In other words, if you leave a team on the Call of Duty: Black Ops Team Ladder, it will not effect your ability to join a team on the Call of Duty: Black Ops Doubles Ladder.
We hope this change encourages users to stick with their team through both the highs and the lows rather than bolting at the first hint of frustration and ruining the experience for your team mates, as well as allowing immediate play!
