Call of Duty 4 fans rejoice! Just because Modern Warfare 2 is out (and is a huge hit) doesn't mean we're going to forget about you! GameBattles is proud to bring you our first of several updates on the Ball Park Call of Duty 4 Fall 2009 Season! The season is already half over, but over 5,000 teams are locked in, battling for a playoff position. The prize pool for the top teams is an incredible $5,000! Here's how things are shaping up:

Art of Execution leads the way so far with an incredible 125-11 record. They have a strong grip on first place as BK and the Randies (#2) trail by nearly 800 XP. BK and the Randies are 83-2 on the season, but lost their most recent match to Bruta1 & The Goons. They had won 56 in a row prior to the loss. Meanwhile, Team Violent Apprehension has moved into third place on an even more impressive win streak -- 72 games! TVA is 76-1 on the season and currently sports the longest winning streak on the ladder. High Hopes (93-12) and Zero Limitz (124-24) are going head to head, swapping between 4th and 5th place. Both teams are coming off losses.

Although Art of Execution owns the #1 spot, they don't have the most wins on the ladder. That record belongs to Wanna Borrow Our Sweat Bands, who have accumulated 162 wins. They've lost on 41 occasions, but continue to impress. The longest active win streak of course belongs to Violent Apprehension, but up-and-coming team definite Victory has won 40 in a row, bringing their total record to 45-2. They're ranked #8 overall. Other strong teams, such as Showtime (93-18) and Kx3 (42-4), will have an opportunity to creep up into the Top 5 with the inactivity of some of the higher ranked teams.

The season is still far from over, so be sure to create a team or get involved before it's too late. $5,000 is a lot of cash, so don't miss out!
