Welcome, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 fans, to the first of many updates on the GameStop Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 International Online Tournament! In case you haven't heard, there's $10,000 up for grabs for the winners of this world-wide competition! You can find all the info on this page. The ladder runs through December 11th; so there's still time for you to get involved if you're a Call of Duty fan!

Now, onto the standings! On the North America Ladder, it's Epic Impact leading the way with a 36-2 record. However impressive, second place XpL isn't far behind. Team XpL has won 15 straight games, bringing their overall record to 31-1. In third place is another team enjoying a great season, OverSoul. OverSoul is 30-3 and has won 17 in a row. Genesis is ranked #4 with a 21-2 record, and Call of Duty veterans Team FeaR are 5th -- undefeated in 27 matches.

As mentioned earlier, this is an international competition -- so let's take a look at the European Ladder. Team Coolermaster (I) is the current #1, winning 21 matches while losing just three thus far. Trailing by just 57 XP is Team Coolermaster (II), who have gone 21-1 this season. Visualize Your Enmity is ranked third with a ladder-high 24 wins and 6 losses, and leads fourth place AlterYourEgo by nearly 200 XP. AYE is 16-2 overall. SK Gaming is currently ranked 5th, but that could change any minute as they lead Team Antipro by just 12 XP.

So far so good! The competition has been excellent! Already several teams are making their case for deserving the #1 spot, on both sides of the world.
