Without a doubt this week's biggest news is of a new leader sitting atop the ladder. As of Wednesday night,
INF Organized Confusion has
overtaken MoB Deep (2nd) for 1st place. Given their rate of play this doesn't come as a surprise to many, but INF OC's self-evident dedication and persistence shows that they truly deserve their newly acquired seed. On a similar note and lock step with their trend from last week,
Soldier's Only Live Once has also managed to move up the highest ranks of the ladder from 7th to 4th. Behind SOLO, the 5th through 7th spots remain highly vulnerable with only 50 XP separating them. If any team is able to catch
iCn Xtravagant (7th), a team who has been inactive as of late, a big jump to 5th place is likely to follow.
Outside the Top 10 the biggest movers and shakers appear to be
Vital (11th) and
Rated (13th). Both of these teams have put in a huge amount of time into ladder play in recent weeks, and just within the last few days has their effort brought them to the edge of Top 10 contention. Behind them, the 14th through 24th spots are neck and neck in terms of XP, and what this section of the ladder will look like in the following days is almost entirely uncertain. This proximity gives rise to the possibility of numerous teams, both in and outside the Top 25, making huge jumps in the near future.
This Week's Biggest Matches Vital (11th) over Rated (13th) INF Organized Confusion (1st) over Unorthodox (188th) to move into first place This Week's Biggest Upsets Paradox (329th) over Xbox Live Thugs (8th) Genocide (212th) over Rated (13th) Unorthodox (188th) over Vital (11th) Teams to Keep an Eye On Genocide and
Paradox, two teams that managed to pull off upsets versus highly seeded teams, both seem to have shown that they have the potential to make huge strides up the ranks of the ladder. Genocide, the higher ranked of the two, has played a whopping 40 matches in just the last week and is maintaining an impressive overall record of 54-3. Paradox, having just began play as a team on the 15th, is only 21-2, but some of their victories show that they are without a doubt a team that can easily be ranked comfortably within the double digits.
Wolf Pack remains just outside the Top 50 at 51st, but more importantly is still hot off a 37 match winning streak.
Adversity (77th), a standout from last week, has ran into a relatively rough set of matches compared with their previous record, but the team has been able to move up over 20 spots and is now ranked inside the Top 80.
Hot Top Teams Needless to say,
INF Organized Confusion's move from 3rd to 1st place has been by far the biggest shift in the ladder. The team has put in a considerable amount of both time and effort in recent weeks, and just last night did it all pay off with them now sitting atop the ladder. The story has been much the same with
Soldier's Only Live Once, who after playing and winning in ten matches in the last week has been able to move from the 7th spot to 4th. With the 3rd seeded
1Effort still abstaining from ladder play, SOLO has a serious chance at moving up another spot in the coming week; they do, however, remain quite a bit off from contesting the 2nd and 1st seeded teams, but given SOLO's volume of matches played doing so does seem to be a possibility in the future.
