As of Monday at 9:00 PM, rosters have been locked in for the remainder of the Winter 2010 Season. Going forward, all teams on the ladder will battle it out for a spot in the playoff bracket and a shot at becoming the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Winter '10 Champions. The season ends March 31st, and only the top 128 teams will make it to the playoffs.

Since our last update, quite a bit has changed among the top ranks of the ladder, the most significant of which is Vital, jumping from the 11th to the 2nd seed. The team has played and won an exceptional number of matches in recent weeks, and no one can deny that they rightfully deserve their high placement. Rated, another news maker as of late, have continued to progress up the ladder. Since the last update in which we noted the significant progress they had made, the team has been able to leap from 13th to 8th. SOLO Killa Beez, a team that has seemingly come out of nowhere, now find themselves in the 5th place spot.

Regrettably recent ladder play has not been favorable to all of the top teams. After an unfortunate string of losses in the face of other teams advancing, Soldiers Only Live Once has fallen from 4th place to 12th. Similarly 1 Effort, who had been sitting comfortably in 3rd, now find themselves in 11th place. Reckless, a team that managed to cling on to an 8th place ranking the last time we checked in, has been marred yet again by inactivity. Having played only a single match in the month of March, the team has fallen to 16th place. However, don't let the recent decline of these teams fool you into ruling them out. For all teams the next fifteen days will be undoubtedly the most important of the season, and we can come to expect only intense competition to round out the month.

Biggest Matches

Rage (4th) over EnvyUs (7th)
Vital (2nd) over Rated (8th)
SOLO Killa Beez (5th) over Diversity (21st)

Biggest Upsets

Got Frag? (305th) over Final Breath (6th)
Team Heartbeatz (883rd) over Rated (8th)
Pubstarz (244th) over Impulse (9th)

Teams to Keep an Eye On

The iNF clan at large has been sending some big waves through the ladder as of late. Each of iNF Eternity (22nd), iNF Epinox (26th), and iNF Vengeance (64th) have amassed impressive winning streaks and rankings this month. Both Eternity and Vengeance have hung on to huge streaks of 58 and 55 matches, respectively. Epinox did have the largest streak of the three teams at 66 wins, but unfortunately it was ended in a close match to the 140th seeded Anarchy. Hectic, a team surrounded by controversy over their stunning record, has moved up to 17th place at a wildly impressive 107-0. Whether or not the team is as good as their record suggests is yet to be determined, so be sure to keep a close eye on them for the remainder of the season.

Hot Top Teams

Arguably the hottest team on the ladder since our last update is SOLO Killa Beez (5th). Of the whopping 34 matches they've played this month, they've lost none, catapulting the team from obscurity into the spotlight. If the team keeps up their current pace, heading forward the momentum appears to be all but in their favor. The story has been much the same for Final Breath and Impulse. Final Breath has made a huge jump from outside the top 25 into 6th, but even this pales in comparison to Impulse's recent efforts. Since February 25th the team has put in nearly one hundred matches. You heard it right, one hundred; enough to send them roaring into the 9th place seed.
